Predators Expand With Full Season Teams
The New England Predators are excited to announce that they are a founding member of the IJYHL, an affiliate of the IJHL or International Junior Hockey League. The new IJYHL currently consists of the New England Predators, PHD Jr. Elites, New England Bulldogs, Boston Jr. Blackhawk's, The New England Moose and North Shore Raiders, NECDL Classics as well as crossover games with the MBHL's Springfield Pics.
We are also in the process of interviewing potential expansion organizations. The league will begin play in September 2008 with teams from Mite Minor through the Bantam Major. The IJYHL will feature checking at all levels, games with 15 minute periods, modified NCAA rules and 3 one ice officials for Pee Wee Major through Bantam Major Divisions. The league website is being developed and will be available soon.
IJHL ANNOUNCES YOUTH DIVISIONS...
The International Junior Hockey League is proud to announce the addition of a complete Tier 1 AAA Division of the IJHL. The league will highlight checking and full slap shot at all levels and incorporate the use of a 2 referee - 1 linesman system at the higher levels (Pee Wee Major and up). The league will be federated by NAAHA with 15 minute periods for all league games. The league will promote its players as the only known complete hockey league in America to incorporate all levels form Mites to Super Elite Junior under their banner, an advantage many young players can only obtain by playing in the International Junior Youth Hockey League (IJYHL). League play will commence next September and program's teams tryouts will be listed very soon!
Players will receive:
Squirt – Bantam Level Players will receive upon making team:
- Two one-hour practices on set days and set times per week
- One (1) 50 minute Skills/Power Skate per week on a set day and set time
- Goalies receive (two) 1 hour sessions a month
- NE Predators Home and Away Game Shirts
- Two pairs (1) pair each - Home and Away Socks
- One team Shell to go over hockey pants
- NE Predators Practice Shirt
- NE Predators Jacket
- NE Predators Game Bags (only new players joining the program)
- All practices and Home games are at the Haverhill Veterans Rink (Haverhill High School Rink) and or The ICENTER in Salem, NH
- Six (6) weeks pre-season ice in the summer (August – September) which will include 1 team practice per week for six weeks. Each practice will include 1 hour and 20 minutes full ice for each practice.
- Games will be 15 minute period games and will be modified NCAA Rules
- The New England Predators will register each participant with NAAHA which will allow all of our AAA teams to play under NCAA Rules.
- 35 plus games with IJYHL, independent games
